CDC National Firefighter Registry (NFR) for Cancer
The National Firefighter Registry (NFR) for Cancer is a U.S. government initiative led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to better understand and reduce cancer risk among firefighters. The voluntary registry collects information on firefighters’ work history, exposures, and health to help researchers study how firefighting may be linked to cancer and support long-term cancer prevention efforts in the fire service.
